DAY 1 RESULTS
MORRIS, Minn. - Martin Luther College sits in fifth place after day one of the UMAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Minnesota Morris.
After one day of the two-day event, MLC has 21 total points, good for fifth among the seven teams in attendence.Â
The Knights scored the most points in the Javelin Throw, where
Martin Loescher took third place with a throw of 48.61 meters to score six points for MLC.
Rudy Nelson also added two points with a seventh place finish in the event.
Jacob Melso scored five points for MLC with a fourth place finish in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:03.69. The MLC relay team in the 4x800 Meters also performed well with a fourth place finish.
Josh Arndt had a strong day in multiple events, taking eighth in the Long Jump (one point) with a jump of 5.78 meters. He also qualified for the finals in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.44, and finished ninth in the 200 Meters.Â
In the Pole Vault, both
Jesse Rider and
Colin Bahmer finished in the top eight thanks to both jumping the height of 3.11 meters.Â
