DAY 1 RESULTS
MORRIS, Minn. - Martin Luther College ranks fifth among seven teams after day one of the UMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Minnesota Morris.
MLC holds its position with 25 points after day one.
The Knights scored 19 of their 25 points in the Javelin Throw.
Katherine Zietlow won the event (10 points) for the second consecutive season with a throw of 33.62 meters in her first time competing in the event this season.Â
MLC also place two other athletes in the Javelin.
Charlotte Huebner scored eight points thanks to a second place finish following a throw of 33.38 meters, and
Rylee Weisensel took eighth (one point) with a throw of 27.2 meters.
Rachel Winter did well for MLC in the two sprinting events, taking sixth place (three points) in the 200 Meters with a time of 27.49. She also qualified for the finals in the 100 Meters with a time of 13.20.
Stephanie Rockhoff took seventh (two points) in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:17.42, and also qualified for the finals in the 100 Meter Hurdles.
Jade St. Germaine scored one point thanks to an eighth place finish in the Long Jump, and also finished ninth in the Hammer Throw.
Emily Muir finished tenth in the Long Jump, while
Cassandra Anklam (10th) and
Josephine Avery (12th) also had strong finishes in the Hammer Throw.
