NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's cross country tea, finished ninth at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday.
The Knights finished with a total team score of 276 places, ranking them second among the seven UMAC teams in attendance at the event. UW-Eau Claire won the team competition with a total of 40 places.
Ryan Gurgel was the top MLC runner in 43rd place and a time of 27:17.
Gurgel was followed
Justin Wilkens (27:30), Ben Bitter (27:31) and
Darian Schnose (27:42), with each finishing inside the top 55 among the 290 runners at the event.
Jonathan Fleischmann was the fifth finisher among MLC runners.
The Knights will return to action on October 1, when they host the MLC Invitational at Flandrau State Park.Â
