Knights Finish Ninth at Macalester Twilight

RESULTS

ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College men's track and field team participated in the Bolstorff Twilight event at Macalester College on Thursday.

The Knights finished ninth in the team competition with a total of 24 points at the event.

In the running events, Brayxton Alexander led the way with a sixth place finish in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 11.67.

Elsewhere on the track, Benjamin Bitter took seventh in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:59.44, while Jacob Melso finished eighth in the 400 Meters with a time of 53.18.

In the field events, Martin Loescher took fifth in the Javelin Throw with a season-best throw of 46.94 meters, and also finished 17th in the Discus Throw. 

Blake Guth also had a strong performance with an eighth place finish in the Shot Put, while Keith Brassow set a new MLC record in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 31.37 meters.
