DULUTH, Minn. - Martin Luther College senior volleyball player
Kira Grev became the fifth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills in Saturday's game against Crown College.
Grev entered Saturday's UMAC triangular at St. Scholastica with 987 career kills, and recorded 12 kills in both matches to move her career total to 1,011 kills.
Grev is the fifth player in program history to reach the milestone, joining Rachel Meyer (1,743), Rebecca Engelbrecht (1,297), Rachel Kramer (1,090) and Lisa Gawrisch (1,049) in the exclusive club.Â
Grev also ranks among the all-time MLC leaders in career attacks (third, 3,282) and career kills per set (fourth, 2.82), and also has 875 career digs.Â
Grev and the Knights will return to action on Tuesday, September 19, when they play in a UMAC triangular at Minnesota Morris.
