Men Finish Tied for Fifth at UMAC Outdoor Championships

MORRIS, Minn. - Martin Luther College finished tied for fifth place at the UMAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Minnesota Morris.

The Knights finished the event with 45 total points, tying for fifth place out of seven teams at the event with Bethany Lutheran. UW-Superior won the event with 254 total points, finishing ahead of St. Scholastica (196.5 total points) and Minnesota Morris (117.5) in the top three.

Todd Brassow was the top MLC finisher, taking first in the High Jump with a jump of 2.0 meters. The jump broke his own meet record (previously 1.95 meters), and marked the fourth consecutive year Brassow won the High Jump at the conference championship meet.

Jesse Rider and Ben Snyder also performed well in the High Jump, taking fourth and fifth, respectively. 

Martin Loescher finished seventh in the Discus Throw with a throw of 36.55 meters, while Josh Arndt also took home a seventh place finish in the 100 Meters with a time of 11.53.
