NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College baseball team dropped its final home game of the season 13-1 to UW-Superior (UWS) on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets scored twice in the first inning and added two more in the second frame to take a 4-0 lead.
Jonas Lindemann tried to jump start the MLC offense in the bottom of the second inning with his first career home run, cutting the MLC deficit to three.

Reagan Moore was able to keep the Yellowjackets off the board with two scoreless innings in the third and fourth frames, but the Yellowjackets added two more runs in the fifth.
Reliever
Bobby Larsen entered for the Knights in the sixth inning and pitched a pair of scoreless innings, but ran out of gas as the Yellowjackets were able to score three times in the eigth inning and four more in the ninth.
Moore (0-3) took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs (two earned) on three hits and seven walks.
Five MLC hitters each finished with one hit.
The Knights fell to 3-22 on the season and 3-12 in UMAC play in defeat. UWS improved to 16-15 overall and 12-4 in league play with the win.
MLC will return to action tomorrow (Thursday, May 5) when it travels to Minnesota Morris for a triple header. The first game will resume at 11:00 a.m. with the Knights leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second inning.Â
