SHEBOYGAN, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team was unable to break out of a shooting slump in a 103-64 loss at Lakeland College on Saturday.
The Knights struggled throughout the game to convert shots, shooting just 29.9 percent from the field compared to 56.3 percent for Lakeland.Â
The shooting struggles started from the opening tip, as the Knights opened the game making two of their first 20 attempts, helping the Muskies to a 50-34 halftime lead on the way to the win.
Josh Rathje finished as the high-scorer for MLC with 13 points.
Todd Brassow added ten points.Â
Dan Leverence set new career highs off the bench for the Knights with seven points and six rebounds.
MLC fell to 0-4 on the season in defeat, while Lakeland improved its record to 1-1 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, November 24, when they host Saint Mary's. That game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
