ABERDEEN, S.D. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost 7-1 at Presentation on Thursday.
The Knights fell behind 2-0 in the first half, but the Saints put the game away with five goals in the first 27 minutes of the second half to put the game away.
The lone MLC goal was scored by
Hugo Ugalde-Bemer in the 59th minute. It was his first goal of the season.
The two teams were even in many of the stats, with the Saints outshooting MLC 29-24 overall and 13-10 on goal.
Joseph Graumann (five shots) and
Jacob Shepherd (four shots, three shots on goal) led the MLC offense.
Caleb King allowed four goals on nine shots on goal before giving way to
Gabriel Plocher in the second half.Â
MLC fell to 9-7-1 on the season in defeat.
The Knights will close the regular season on Saturday, October 22, when they host conference-leading St. Scholastica in a game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
