NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team dominated from start to finish of an 81-58 win over Oak Hills Christian College on Friday.
The Knights scored the first eight points of the game and held the Wolfpack to only six field goals in the first 20 minutes on the way to a 42-19 halftime lead.
MLC continued to pour it on in the second half, building its lead as big as 30 points as it cruised to the win.
All 16 available players played and contributed for the Knights as they assisted on 28 of 32 field goals and outscored the Wolfpack bench 43-1 for the game. 14 of the 16 MLC players to enter the game scored in the contest.
Austin DeNoyer led the way for MLC with 12 points, while
Nate Lindloff added 10 points.
Ian Paulsen led the team with a career-high nine assists to go with three blocks and a pair of steals.Â
Jacob Price and
Joey Behm each scored eight points for the Knights to lead the bench effort, while
Joseph Hirsch and
Joshua Schroeder added seven and six points, respectively.Â
The Knights shot 45.7 percent from the game, and also held OHCC to just 24.6 percent shooting.
MLC improved to 2-4 on the season with the win. OHCCÂ fell to 1-10 in defeat.
The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, December 5, when they open UMAC play with a game against North Central. That contest is scheduled to tip off at 7:15 p.m.
