MANKATO, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team went cold in the second half of a 77-46 loss at Bethany Lutheran College on Wednesday.
The two teams battled back and forth in the first half as the Vikings built a nine-point lead heading into the break.
The Vikings pulled away in the second half as the Knights struggled from the field, outscoring MLC 37-15 on the way to the win.
MLC shot 37.1 percent in the first half, but hit just 18.8 percent of its shots after the break, including going 1-10 from beyond the three-point arc. The Vikings shot 49.2 percent for the game, including a 50.0 percent mark in the second half.
Austin DeNoyer led MLC with 10 points.
Nate Lindloff added nine points, while
Ian Paulsen led the Knights with four assists and two steals.
MLC fell to 3-6 on the season and 1-2 in UMACÂ play in defeat. BLC improved to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in conference action with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, December 15, when they host UW-Superior in a game scheduled to tip off at 4:45 p.m.
