TITUSVILLE, Fla. - The Martin Luther College softball team lost both its games on day three of its Florida trip. The Knights lost 5-0 against Rochester Thursday morning before falling 8-5 to Penn State-Hazleton in the afternoon.
Rochester 5, MLC 0
MLC allowed all five runs in the first inning of a 5-0 loss to Rochester College.
The first five players in the Warriors' line-up reached base and scored, capped by a three-run home run off MLC starting pitcher
Morgan Palubicki (0-3).
Palubicki settled in after he rough start, allowing those five runs (four earned) on eight hits in seven innings, but the offense was unable to get anything going.

Audrey Timm each recorded one hit for MLC.

The Knights set new season-highs for runs (five) and hits (10) in an 8-5 defeat to Penn State-Hazleton in game two.
The Lions scored two runs in each of the first three innings of MLC starting pitching
Rebecca Pruss (0-3), but the Knights hung within striking distance.
Kayla Rosenbaum led a two-run first frame with an RBI double that scored
Rebecca Doering. Rosenbaum also drove Doering home with a single in the fifth inning that cut the deficit to 7-3, but the Knights were unable to complete the comeback.
Pruss took the loss after allowing six runs on six hits and three walks.
Doering led the team with three hits and two runs.
Audrey Timm joined Rosenbaum with two hits in the game.
MLC fell to 0-6 on the season following the two losses, and will return to action for their final day in Florida tomorrow (Friday, March 9). The Knights will start the day with a game against Shawnee State at 9 a.m. local time, followed by a game against College of Saint Joseph.
