DULUTH, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost 4-0 at St. Scholastica on Saturday.
The Knights fell behind in the opening minute, as the Saints' Becca Rancour scored just 26 seconds into the game to give CSS the 1-0 edge.
The Saints added one more first-half tally in the 35th minute to take a 2-0 halftime lead, and then added two more in the second half to finish with the final 4-0 margin.
The Saints were credited with 31 total shots, 22 of which were on goal. MLC keeper
Mollie Fischer stopped 18 of the 22 shots she faced in goal.
Rachel Bitter was credited with one shot for the Knights.
MLC fell to 1-6 on the season and 1-3 in league play in defeat. CSS improved to 4-3-1 overall and 4-0 in UMAC play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Monday, September 24, when they host Bethel in a non-conference match scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.
