WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team lost its final game before the Thanksgiving break 89-52 at Carroll University on Tuesday.
The Pioneers jumped out to a strong start, and then finished the first half with a 15-0 run to take a commanding 50-19 lead into halftime.
The Knights battled in the second half, but weren't able to cut into the deficit as Carroll finished off the win.
MLC committed 27 turnovers that the Pioneers turned into 43 points on the other end. Carroll also finished with a big advantage inside, out-scoring the Knights 46-24 in the paint.
Micah Kieselhorst led MLC with 10 points off the bench on on 3-5 shooting from the field, including making two of his four attempts from beyond the three point arc.
Jacob Price added nine points off the bench, while
Ian Paulsen scored eight points, grabbed four rebounds and added three steals in his first action of the season.Â
MLC fell to 1-2 on the season in defeat. Carroll improved to 6-1 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Monday, December 2, when they host Concordia-Moorhead in the home opener. That game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
