VIRGINIA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team saw its season come to an end in the semifinal round of the UMAC Men's Tennis Championships against top-seed St. Scholastica by the score of 9-0 at the Virginia Tennis and Pickleball Club on Monday.
The top-seeded Saints took control early with three wins in doubles play by the scores of 8-2, 8-4 and 8-4.
In singles play, CSS was able to finish the sweep with six wins in straight sets.Â
MLC's season came to an end with the loss. The Knights finished the regular season fourth in the UMAC with a 4-3 conference record, and fell to 8-9 overall in defeat.
CSS improved to 13-7 with the win, and advanced to the championship match later this week.
