NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College baseball team lost its home opener 26-0 to Crown College in seven innings on Monday.

After a scoreless first frame, Crown scored 11 times in the second inning, and then added 10 more in the third to take a commanding lead on the way to the win.

Micah Larsen (0-1) got out of a first-inning jam but struggled with his control before the Storm's Rhys Dewick blasted a grand slam in the second inning. Larsen finished the day allowing only two hits, but 10 runs due to eight walks in 1.2 innings.

Joey Behm led MLC at the plate with a pair of hits.

MLC fell to 0-3 on the season following the non-conference defeat. Crown improved to 7-15 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, April 7, when they host Minnesota Morris in a doubleheader scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
