NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost 4-0 to University of Northwestern (UNW) on Tuesday.
The Knights nearly matched the Eagles in shots (UNW led 15-14 overall), but the Eagles took advantage of their opportunities by scoring four goals on their 10 shots on net.
Megan Moeller was the star for UNW on the evening, scoring the first three goals of the game in the 10th, 15th and 48th minutes. Samantha Korhari scored the fourth tally off a rebound in the 70th minute.
Hannah Schroeder led the Knights with five total shots on the day.
Avery Broyles added two (including one shot on goal), while
Nicole Porter had the best chance of the day for MLC with a shot that hit of the left post.
MLC fell to 1-7-0 on the season and 0-4-0 in UMAC play in defeat. UNW improved to 4-4-0 overall and 4-0-0 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 2, when they host North Central in a game scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
