In cool fall conditions, the Knights dropped a match to UMAC leader UW-Superior 6-1. The Yellowjackets jumped out to an early lead with goals at the 14', 21' and 38' marks of the first half. The Yellowjackets scored 16 seconds into the second half on Drake Schramm's second goal. The Yellowjackets would add another goal to make it 5-0 before Knights first-year player, Johannes Bourman, scored at the 53' mark, just seconds after UW-Superior's score. The Yellowjackets would add another goal late to make the final 6-1. Superior retains its UMAC lead with an 8-0-2 record and 10-2-2 overall.

Superior had a clear advantage with 43 shots taken to MLC's five.  Adam Rosenbaum had ten saves for the Knights. 

The Knights fall to 1-12-1 on the season and 0-8 in the UMAC. The Knights next take on UM-Morris at Morris on October 20.
