The MLC men's soccer team lost to NCU 2-0 in a UMAC matchup in Minneapolis, MN.
NCU didn't score until the 40' mark on a header. Their second goal at the 64' mark was on a cutback to the top of the box. Coach Nic Schmoller said NCU earned both goals. The Knights demonstrated better ball control but were unable to generate enough good offensive opportunities. The Knights were a bit short-handed on the offensive end with
Lucas Martin being out.
Adam Rosenbaum had a good game in the net with 7 saves.
Schmoller said it was good to see the competitiveness of the Knights after their disappointing effort against UNW earlier in the week. "I felt we played much better and more like we are capable of in this match," Schmoller added. Schmoller thought the Knights are improving with each match.
The Knights fell to 1-8-1 on the season and 0-5 in the UMAC. The Knights will face off next against Crown College at home on Wednesday.
