The MLC women's soccer team dominated North Central University, 7-0, following a flurry of second half scoring. The Knights held on to a 1-0 first half lead on
Megan Martin's 4th goal of the season at the 37' mark.
Karissa Holdcroft assisted on this goal.
Early in the second half,
Samantha Colvin scored off an assist from
Hannah Schroeder at the 46' mark.
Hailey Rice added an unassisted goal at the 66' mark. Then the Knights kicked in four goals in the next nine minutes of play:
Megan Martin (6) scored an unassisted goal at 80';
Hannah Schroeder (7) added another at 82', and
Nicole Porter (4) added two more goals off assists from
Kaitlin Butler and
Rachel Schoeneck at 83' and 89'.
The Knights out shot their opponents 28-5. Goalie
Grace Sievert notched yet another shutout on the season.
The Knights now sit in fifth place and will need a win to get into the UMAC torunament. Their record currently stands at 6-8-4 overall and 4-6-3 in the UMAC.
