WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team lost its regular season finale 9-0 to University of Northwestern (UNW) at Lifetime Fitness Center on Saturday night.

The Eagles entered the day in second place in the conference standings and showed why throughout the match, winning the three doubles matches 8-0, 8-0 and 8-2 before winning the six singles matches in straight sets.

MLC fell to 1-13 on the season and 1-7 in UMAC play in defeat. UNW improved to 18-5 overall and 5-1 in league play with the win.

The Knights finished the season tied for fourth in the conference standings, and will wait to see if they make next weekend's UMAC Postseason Tournament once all results from the conference season are in.
