The MLC Men's Soccer Team played Buena Vista on Tuesday in Storm Lake, Iowa, and tied 1-1.
The Knights got off to a hot start with a goal in the first minute from senior Forward
Lucas Martin. Buena Vista answered the Knights' in the 39th minute with a goal by Marcos Rosales.
The Knights offense continues to be aggressive in their attack this season as they created 6 shots on goal and 13 opportunities overall. The attack welcomed back
Josiah Wordell last week and he contributed in a big way again this week by having 3 shots on goal for himself.
Nathan Pausma nearly added to his team leading 3 goals in the 10th minute but a save by Buena Vista keeper Isaiah Thomas prevented it.Â
MLC was solid again defensively led by GK
Adam Rosenbaum and Defenders
Jed Mittelstadt and
Caleb Hengst. Rosenbaum had 4 saves on the day.Â
MLC clashes with Bethany on Saturday the 17th, in the Knights first UMAC matchup of the season. they will play at 4:30 PM in Mankato, Minnesota.Â
