The MLC Men's soccer team dropped its home opener to Viterbo 4-0 on Monday, Sept. 5. The match was highlighted by goalie
Adam Rosenbaum's 14 saves, as Viterbo took 36 shots in the match. Viterbo scored two goals in each half as the Knights struggled to keep up with the offensive firepower of the V-Hawks. Coach Nick Schmoller was happy with the defensive effort, "they did all they were asked against a highly skilled, experienced squad." Schmoller said they would work on finding ways to create more scoring opportunities against teams like these in their upcoming matches. The Knights travel to Winona where they will take on another tough team in St. Mary's on Saturday, September 10 at 3:30 p.m.
