New Ulm, MN - The snowfall on Saturday wasn't the only flurry to hit the MLC soccer pitch, as the Knights defeated North Central
8-0 for their last game of the season.
The day began with the women's soccer team honoring their seniors in the pregame and the offense would feed off of the energy, scoring their quickest goal of the year off of a shot from
Katie Schoeneck at the 1:40 mark.
Senior
Lydia Krenke had an impressive final game for the Knights, as the forward connected on two goals at the 17th and 24th minute to put MLC up 3-0.
From there, Schoeneck would tack on another goal in the 31st minute and then completed the hat trick in the beginning of the second period to create further separation from the Rams (5-0).
Karissa Holdcroft and
Madeline Walz would also join the scoring barrage to score their first career goals late in the second period, while
Hailey Rice recorded her second goal of the season.
As a team, the Knights had a team-high in goals (8) and shots on goal (17).
