Sioux City, Iowa - The MLC women's team traveled to Morningside for their second match of the 2023 season. The women improved from their first contest on January 28th, where they were lost (9-0) to St. Mary's, with a 6-1 defeat to the Mustangs on Friday evening.

    Sophomore Abigail Schewe picked up the only singles win for the Knights in her number-six match 6-1, 1-6 (10-4). MLC also received a hard fought battle from another sophomore in Sarah Hoffe, who lost her number-three match 6-0, 3-6 (4-10).

    In doubles play the Mustangs swept the Knights 6-2, 7-5 and 6-2.

    MLC (0-2) will look to regroup and secure their first team-win of the season when they face St. Catherine on Saturday, February 18 at 5:30 p.m.
