St. Peter, MN - MLC women's tennis lost
9-0 to the Northwestern Eagles on Sunday, April 2 in short order. The Knights fell 3-8, 3-8, 1-8 to the Eagles in Doubles play, with Northwestern utilizing their quick hands and agility to move past the Knights.
In singles play,
Sarah Hoffe lost her number-three match 3-6, 5-7, while
Abigail Schewe gave another strong effort, but came up short in three sets, 6-4, 1-6, 0-1 (6-10). Despite another loss for MLC, they displayed more self-confidence in their singles play and had longer volleys with their opponent.
The Knights (1-6) will now gear up for a 3:30 p.m. match on the road at Wartburg on Monday, April 3.
