Superior, WI - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost their conference game
7-0 to the UW-Superior Yellowjackets on Saturday afternoon. The Yellowjackets wasted no time getting on the board with an opening goal at the eight second mark and never looked back.
The Yellowjackets gained contributions from a variety of players on their squad and five different players score a goal, including two from Felipe Oliviera.
The Knights would struggle to get much going offensively and had issues moving the ball past the UW-Superior defensemen. MLC would attempt just one shot in the 90 minutes of gametime and were held without a shot on goal. In comparison, the Yellowjackets rattled off 25 shots with 16 on goal.
On a positive note,
Adam Rosenbaum would record 10 saves and the Knights were able to give some minutes to their reserves off the bench.
MLC will look to shake off the offensive woes when they return to the field on Tuesday, October 3, against North Central at 4:30 p.m.
