Minneapolis, MN - The Martin Luther College women's soccer squad wrapped up its 2024 season with a
5-0 shutout win over North Central on Saturday.
The Knights played a well-rounded game and
Maria Vik made some solid saves to preserve the clean sheet. Vik finished with five saves in a winning performance.
Four different MLC players made a goal in the win, including
Priscilla Boehm in the 14th minute on an assist from
Ella Ristow.
Katie Schoeneck scored her 11th goal of the season around the 53rd minute to make it 3-0. Schoeneck finished fourth in goals scored this season and led the team in that category.
Naomi Foley and Ristow were the two other players to find the back of the net.
Lilianne Zimpelmann and
Rachel Schoeneck dished out the assists on those pair of goals.
The Knights found great success from their seven corner kicks, as three of them resulted in goals.
MLC ends their season with a 5-11-3 overall record, UMAC 3-7-2, and land in fifth-place in the conference standings.
