Mankato, MN - The MLC men's soccer team traveled down the road to take on Bethany for a UMAC game under the lights. The Vikings previously defeated the Knights in New Ulm last Tuesday 7-1 and ended Wednesday's contest in a similar fashion, beating MLC
11-0.
Bethany's offensive attack wasted no time getting hot, scoring five goals within the first 30 minutes of play. From there, the Vikings tacked on two additional goals in the final 15 minutes to take a commanding 7-0 lead over the Knights.
MLC was able to keep Bethany from finding the back of the net for 25 minutes of the second period, until the Vikings found their groove again, putting through four more goals in the final 17 minutes of action.
The two shots for MLC resulted in shots on target as sophomore
Joshua Krenke recorded both attempts.
MLC goes on to play North Central this Saturday, October 18, at 3:30 p.m. in Minneapolis.
