Owatonna, MN - The MLC women's tennis team played at a neutral venue against NAIA opponent Northwestern College (Iowa) on Friday and fell to the Red Raiders
7-0.
Despite the Knights taking one of the doubles matches with
Britney Prahl and
Emily Gronholz winning No. 1 doubles 6-4, Northwestern took the other two doubles contests to be rewarded with one point.
Karly Miller and
Rebekah Schroeder gave No. 2 doubles a challenge before falling 4-6.
The Red Raiders defeated the Knights in all six singles matchups as
Greta Kopp stayed the closest to her opponent in No. 6 singles 3-6, 4-6.
MLC women's tennis goes on to play St. Catherine in Minneapolis next Friday, February 13, at 7 p.m.
