Little River, SC - MLC lost its first game of the final day in South Carolina to Lancaster Bible College (PA) 7-5.
Kaylee Pickering and
Katelyn Rassat were the leaders at the plate for MLC in this one. In the cleanup spot, Pickering went 2-4 with a team high in RBIs (3) inclduing an RBI triple in the first inning that scored Rassat from third base after the senior hit a triple previously in the inning to get into scoring position. PIckering's two other RBI came in the seventh frame.
An MLC error led to a run scored in the second inning for the Chargers, tying 1-1 after a single to center field.
Lancaster capitalized on two more errors by the Knights in the bottom of the third to go up 3-1.
