New Ulm, MN - The MLC baseball team played a 3-game home series this weekend against UW-Superior. Game one was on Friday, with the Yellowjackets taking that one
7-0. The final two games were postponed to Sunday, and UW-Superior finished it off with a sweep, beating the Knights
16-1 in game two and
20-2 in game three.
On Friday, MLC received another good outing from
Aidan Berg, who pitched seven innings and only allowed two runs on six hits. However, the Yellowjackets took advantage of him exiting the game and put up five runs in the top of the eighth to make it a 7-0 contest.

Evan Kasa, who was batting in the eighth spot in the lineup.
In the next two games on Sunday, the Yellowjackets had it going from the plate, recording a total of 27 base hits. First baseman Tanner Voight, had a combined nine RBI between the two games, including a 6-RBI game where he hit a grand slam for his team.

Mark Vogel went yard with a solo home run in both games on Sunday. The junior hit a solo shot in the fifth inning of game two and another solo homer in the third frame of game three.
MLC looks to bounce back next weekend when they go to Minnesota Morris for a 3-game series that starts on Friday, April 17, at 3 p.m.
