Mankato, MN - MLC women's tennis recorded its first UMAC win of the 2026 season on Tuesday against Bethany Lutheran College
5-2 on their home courts in Mankato.
The Knights also notched its third win of the season and took all three doubles matches for their first point, which included a 6-2 decision in No. 1 doubles from
Britney Prahl/Emily Gronholz. Rebekah Schroeder and
Elizabeth Bigelow also took down their opponent in No. 2 doubles by a score of 7-5.
In singles play, MLC had it going in No. 1 singles with another win in favor of Prahl 6-2, 6-2. Schroeder also earned her second win of the day in No. 2 singles when she beat her counterpart 6-1, 6-0. The other two singles points came by way of a forfeit due to Bethany not having anybody play in No. 5 or No. 6 singles.
MLC will look to keep the momentum going when they host Crown College on Friday, April 17, for a 4 p.m. match.
