Owen Proctor tossed a complete game in the first contest on Friday between MLC and North Central, anchoring the Knights to a
7-2 victory over the Rams.
Proctor had a no-hitter going into the fifth inning and didn't allow for a Rams' comeback after they threatened to put up more runs other than one in the fifth and eighth frames.
Overall, the MLC defense played well in the field, and the lineup produced with four different batters reaching multi-hit games.
Jackson Anderson led with three hits, while
Aidan Berg totaled the most RBI (3), and
Carlos Walta had two RBI with a pair of doubles.
The Knights scored four of their seven runs in the second and third innings.Â
Berg takes the hill for game two on Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m.
