BECKER, Minn. - MLC men's golf finished fifth out of the seven UMAC teams at the conference championship preview on Thursday at Pebble Creek Golf Course.
The team finished with a team score of 321, which was 23 strokes behind Bethany's 298. The Vikings won the event.
The Knights were once again led by their captains. Junior Ben Pearson shot a 4-over 76 and senior
John Martin fired a 5-over 77. Pearson made five birdies on the day, including four of them on the front nine, where he was even par. Martin started slowly before carding three birdies on the back nine, shooting even to close out his round.
Adam Loberger made a pair of birdies during his round of 81.
Cooper Jensen shot an 87 as the final counting score for MLC.
Luke Krauklis competed as an individual, he shot an 11-over 83.
UMAC schools will return to Pebble Creek for the UMAC Championships from Oct. 8-10. The course is a par 72 that plays 6,872 yards.
