Logan Korthals named UMAC athlete of the week

ST. PAUL, Minn. - In his first week competing at the collegiate level, freshman Logan Korthals has been named the UMAC men's cross-country athlete of the week.

Korthals was the top MLC finisher at the UW-River Falls River Town Invitational, running in 27:59.3 and finishing 11th. His time anchored a fourth-place team finish for the Knights.

"Logan is an extremely gifted athlete," coach Mark Weinkauf said. "His sub-28 minute race in oppressive heat was impressive, not to mention it was also his first collegiate race.

"I'm excited to see what he has in store for the rest of the season."
