Randy Cox is entering his 15th season as the Head Baseball Coach at MLC in 2024. He is also in his ninth season as the Assistant Athletic Director.

Cox helped the Knights to the UMAC postseason tournament in 2013, and was named Coach of the Year in the conference following that season. During that season, Cox and the Knights set a school record by winning four games on the team’s annual trip to Florida over Spring Break.

Cox came to MLC following a 14-year stint as the head coach of the baseball program at Michigan Lutheran High School, where he finished with a record of 275-131. Cox’s teams at MLHS won 11 conference championships, seven district championships, and had 21 all-state players during his tenure.

Cox returned to the football coaching staff in 2014 as the linebackers coach, and coached on staff until the 2018 season. He coached on the MLC staff in 2009 (wide receivers) and 2010 (defensive backs), and also coached football for 14 seasons at Bridgman HS and River Valley HS (linebackers and defensive backs) before coming to MLC. From 2015-16, he served as defensive coordinator.

Cox and his wife, Rebecca, have two children – Austin and Mason.
