Becca Kvam, a 2020 alumna of MLC, begins her fifth season in charge of Knights softball in the spring of 2027.
Before returning to her alma mater, Kvam taught and coached at Great Plains Lutheran High School in Watertown, South Dakota.Â
Kvam was an outfielder and two-time captain during her playing career at MLC from 2017-2020 under coach Matt Pearson. Prior to her time in New Ulm, Kvam was a student at Lakeside Lutheran, where she earned two varsity letters in softball. She was a two-time all-conference outfielder in the Capitol North for coach Matt Doering.
In 2025, Kvam earned her master's in kinesiology and recreation, which she puts to use as a professor of physical education at MLC. She is also a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
While in high school, Kvam was an eight-time letter winner and two-time captain of the dance team. She was part of two state qualifying teams in 2014 and 2015.Â
She and her husband, Steven, live in Le Sueur.
