MANKATO, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost its conference game at Bethany Lutheran College 3-0 on Thursday.
The two teams met two days prior on October 11, with the Vikings coming out ahead in that non-conference game 1-0 in overtime.
The Knights were once again unable to crack the BLC defense, despite outshooting the Vikings 22-16 overall and 10-9 in shots on goal.
BLC opened the scoring in the eighth minute on a goal by Bridget Brown, and then added an insurance goal in the 64th minute. The Vikings closed the scoring in the final minute when Nicole Moldstad beat MLC keeper
Julia Barthels on a penalty kick to claim the 3-0 win.
Jenna Maurer led MLC with five total shots, two of which were on goal.
Mary Falck added four shots, including a team-high three shots on goal.

Hailey Johnson each attempted three shots.Â

MLC fell to 3-11 overall and 2-4 in league play in defeat. BLC improved to 7-6-2 on the season and 3-1-1 in the UMAC with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 15, when they travel to UW-Superior for a game scheduled to start at 3:15 p.m.
