SUPERIOR, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team kepts its postseason hopes alive with a 1-0 win at UW-Superor on Saturday.
Jenna Maurer scored the game's only goal in the 34th minute, giving her a team-leading 13 this season and 49 for her career.Â
That goal would be enough for the MLC defense, led by

Sarah Couture and
Sarah Melcher, which held the Yellowjackets to only five shots in the game.
Julia Barthels stopped both UWS shots on goal to earn her second shutout of the season, and the fourth of her career.
Maurer led all players with seven total shots, including three shots on goal.
Morgan Hill added four shots and a pair of shots on goal.Â
The Knights improved to 4-11 overall and 3-4 in UMAC play, and remain in the hunt for a spot in the UMAC Postseason Tournament following the win. UWS fell to 1-11 on the season and 1-5 in UMAC play with the loss.
MLC will return to action on Tuesday, October 18, when it hosts Hamline in a game scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
