MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost a non-conference game at Minnesota Morris 1-0 on Wednesday.
The Knights conceded the game's lone goal to the Cougars' Molly Hancuh in the tenth minute, and that goal would hold up as the game winner the rest of the way.
MLC finished with 12 shots total, and were credited with three shots on goal. The Cougars tallied 19 total shots and seven shots on goal.
Julia Barthels kept the Knights in the game in goal, stopping six of the seven shots she faced.
Alyssa Maertz led MLC with four total shots, while
Jenna Maurer finished with three shots.
The Knights fell to 2-9 in defeat, while UMM improved its record to 2-7-1 with the win.
MLC will return to action on Saturday, October 8, when it hosts North Central. That game will start at 3:15 p.m.
