MINNEAPOLIS - The Martin Luther College men's basketball team lost its game at North Central 94-75 on Saturday.
The Knights were within striking distance, but trailed by nine points at the half following a 61.3 percent performance from the field from the Rams in the opening half.
NCU would put the game away early in the second half with a 14-0 run in less than two minutes, building the lead up to 25 points just six minutes into the second half.
The Rams finished the game 13-26 from beyond the three-point arc, making them a combined 32-60 from downtown in two games against MLC this season.
MLC shot 44.3 percent from the field, but was unable to match the 57.6 percent shooting from the Rams.
Todd Brassow led MLC with 24 points in the game.
T.J. Babinec added 17 points, while
Josh VonDeylen finished with ten points and a team-best nine rebounds.
Michael Paulsen led MLC with seven assists to go with eight points.
In defeat, MLC fell to 1-22 overall and 1-13 in UMAC play. NCU improved its record to 12-12 on the season and 9-5 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Friday, February 19, when they travel to Minnesota Morris. That game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m.
