NEW ULM, Minn. - The MLC volleyball team makes its eighth straight appearance in the UMAC Postseason Tournament will it hosts St. Scholastica in Monday's quarterfinal.
The Knights finished the regular season as the fourth seed thanks to a 10-6 UMAC record. The Saints finished just behind them at 9-7 in league play to claim the fifth and final spot.
The two teams split their two meetings this season in a pair of highly entertaining matches.Â
MLC took the first match in Duluth 3-1 back on the September 16, but the Saints came back to win the second meeting in New Ulm in five sets on September 30.
CSS has proved to a be a tough road block for the Knights in this tournament in recent years. The Saints have knocked the Knights out of the tournament three times (2015, 2012 and 2010) in the last seven seasons.
The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
