DULUTH, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost 3-1 at St. Scholastica on Saturday.
The Saints entered the match atop the UMAC standings with the highest-scoring offense in the conference, but the Knights defense kept them off the scoreboard until the 31st minute, allowing CSS to take a 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Saints added a second goal in the 56th minute, and then tacked on a final insurance tally in the 86th minute before MLC's 
Luke Meihack scored the lone MLC goal less than one minute later. The goal was Meihack's fourth of the season.
Hugo Ugalde-Bemer led MLC with two shots.

Caleb King stopped nine of the Saints' 12 shots on goal.
The Knights fell to 4-6 on the season and 3-2 in UMAC play with the loss. CSS improved to 9-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play with the win.
MLC will return to action on Wednesday, October 11, when it hosts Crown College in a game scheduled to start at 3:15 p.m.
