NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team jumped out to a quick start and never looked back in a 4-1 win over North Central University on Tuesday.

Joe Graumann continued his hot start to the conference season with two goals in the game, giving him seven goals on the season. He has now scored in all five conference games the Knights have played this season.Â
Graumann started the scoring in the fourth minute with an unassisted goal, and senior
Joel Koelpin added to the lead with his third goal of the season in the 27th minute off a Graumann pass to give MLC a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
Graumann continued the Knights' offensive onslaught with his second of the game in the 58th minute, and the Knights added their final tally less than two minutes later on an NCU own goal to finish the scoring.
The Knights finished with a 21-14 edge in total shots, including a 12-7 advantage in shots on goal.

Hugo Ugalde-Bemer and Graumann each finished with four shots.Â
Gabriel Plocher was solid in goal for MLC, stopping six of the Rams' seven shots on goal.
MLC improved to 3-6-2 on the season and 2-1-2 in UMAC play with the win. NCU fell to 5-4-1 overall and 2-3-1 in UMAC play in defeat.Â
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 6, when they host Scholastica in a game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
