ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College volleyball team saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-17) loss at Northwestern-St. Paul on Saturday.
The Eagles entered the day leading the UMACÂ and needing a win to clinch a regular-season championship, and were in control from the start.
UNW hit .233 for the match while the Knights hit -.029 on the attack. The Eagles finished the day with eight blocks, and also recorded six service aces on the day.
Kati Aguilar led the Knights with eight kills  and added six digs.
Camryn Biebert recorded a team-high 10 assists, while
Katelyn Aswege led the team with 14 digs.
MLC finished its season 7-24 overall and 7-9 in UMAC play in defeat. UNW improved to 22-8 on the season and 15-1 in league play.
