MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's basketball team was unable to get on track at UW-Stout on Monday in a 75-34 loss.
The Knights struggled with turnovers throughout the game, committing 41 miscues that led to 50 points for the Blue Devils, who took control of the game in the first quarter and never let MLC get back into the game.
MLC finished the game shooting 32.5 percent from the field while holding the Blue Devils to 38.8 percent, but UW-Stout made 11 three-point field goals and out-rebounded the Knights 45-35 for the game.
Faith Otte led MLC with eight points, while
Emily Witkowski added seven points.
MLC fell to 0-7 on the season in defeat, while the Blue Devils improved to 7-0 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, December 5, when they host North Central in the first game of UMAC play. That game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m.
