MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College softball team swept both games of its non-conference doubleheader at Minnesota Morris on Wednesday by the scores of 13-4 and 13-9.
MLC 13, UMM 4
MLC jumped out to a big lead and never looked back in a 13-4 win in game one.
The Knights scored five runs in the first inning, and then added eight more runs in the final four innings on the way to a win.

Madison Ott and Brett Berger each recorded two hits. Timm and
Kayla Rosenbaum each scored three runs, while
Erika Rosenbaum and Ashman each drove in three runs.
Morgan Palubicki (3-7) earned the win after allowing three unearned runs on eight hits in five innings of work.
MLC 13, UMM 9
The Knights once again built a big early lead, but had to hold off a Cougars' rally in the late innings to finish off the sweep with a 13-9 win in game two.Â
MLC scored once in the first inning, and then added six more runs in the top of the third inning to take a 7-0 lead.
After UMM pulled to within one run after scoring six times in the third and fourth innings, the Knights put the game away with six runs in the fifth frame.
Audrey Timm had the big hit in that inning with a two-run home run, her first of the season.Â
Kayla Rosenbaum led the MLC offense with four hits. Berger recorded two hits and drove in three runs.
Rebecca Pruss (3-7) allowed six runs (four earned) on five hits in four innings as she earned the win.
MLC improved to 6-14 with the win, while UMM fell to 10-24 in defeat.
The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Thursday, April 26) when they host Viterbo for the team's home opener. First pitch of that doubleheader is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
