WINONA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's soccer team lost 7-0 in its final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday at Saint Mary's (Minn.).

Joshua Higgins kept the Knights in the game in the first half, allowing only one goal off a penalty kick in the 28th minute while saving the Cardinals' other 11 shots on goal.
SMU would take advantage of its opportunities in the second half, scoring just 63 seconds after halftime and adding five more tallies the rest of the way, including a second penalty kick goal in the final minute.
Higgins finished the game with 16 saves in goal for the Knights.
MLC fell to 5-10-2 on the season in defeat. SMU improved to 7-8 with the win.
The Knights will return to UMAC play on Saturday, October 26, when they travel to Northland for a game scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
