ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's soccer team lost its final non-conference game of the season 6-0 at Bethel on Wednesday.
The Royals jumped in front early with a goal in the fifth minute, and then added three more first-half goals to take a 4-0 edge into halftime.
Following the break, BU continued to press offensively and added goals in the 55th and 76th minutes to finish the scoring.
The Royals were credited with 34 shots in the game, 15 of which were on goal. MLC keeper
Mollie Fischer stopped nine shots on the night, while
Avery Broyles was credited with the lone MLC shot on goal.
MLC fell to 5-9 on the season in defeat, while Bethel improved to 12-3 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, October 26, when they travel to Northland for a game scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
